Welcome to the American Eskimo Dogs Organization of Vancouver. Based in
Vancouver, British Columbia, the mission of our organization is to provide a variety of resources for American
Eskimo dog lovers and to help Eskie owners reach out to meet other Eskies and learn from each other.
If you are interesting in acquiring an American Eskimo dog,
also known as Spitz dogs, be sure to read our section about the breed and
breeders. We have health tips for you including a
health video as well as information about feeding, exercise
and training. Be sure to look at our pictures
and videos.
If you own an American Eskimo dog, we encourage you to contact us and share your
experiences and knowledge about Eskies. Visit The
Eskie Forum. If you have pictures or videos of your
Eskie in action and would like to see them on this site for
others to enjoy, be sure to get in touch with us.
We like to get together for walks with our dogs and have a
lot of fun. If you own an American Eskimo dog and live in the Vancouver area and
if you are
interested in joining us for walks or planning or
participating in an Eskie Event, please contact us. There
are no fees to join in
the fun .

Cody is a neutered male,
microchipped, nearly 3 years old, X unknown. He came
to foster care two months ago with a lifetime guarantee from Bark Busters, and has responded
wonderfully to the good old fashioned waterspray
bottle. He is used to cats but sometimes
(rarely) needs correction for chasing them; he's not being mean, he just wants to play. The ideal
home would have lots of room to run and play since he loves the outdoors, and would have other dogs
for companions. He has a bit of a problem with chewing things although here in foster care he's
learned to let me take things away for inspection. He needs an owner who will pay attention and
put a loving but firm stop to barking/eating the wrong things. He too loves treats and scratches
and would make an ideal companion for an active household that doesn't give him time to be bored
or lonely.
To be considered for adoption, please send an email to
suzyq.truscott@gmail.com . Please include your location, what people/animals are in the household,
and a brief description of your home environment. We would also appreciate your willingness to keep
in touch with the foster home and the former owners, both of whom are quite fond of these guys.
